About Me

I can't remember a time when I didn't take photos.

There is something very romantic about photography. Light and time become tangible. The ability to capture light and create an image is very appealing. Photography gives us a gift each time the shutter clicks: a moment in time that is ours to keep forever, a retelling of events that we can hold in our hands.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't have a very good memory. As soon as I realized my memory wasn't very good, I started taking photos of everything I could, desperately afraid to lose experiences I could never get back. It was only a matter of time before I started using photography as a way to tell stories--if a picture is truly worth a thousand words, I've written many, many novels.
