An Introduction

Hello, world.

I’m Tori.  I think I’m witty.

I’ve had mild success with a public blog entitled Nerdmama, which documents my (mis)adventures in motherhood.  Nerdmama, however, caters to a niche market–and, lately, I feel like I’ve been making too many posts that don’t have much to do with my son.  I’d like to talk about some other things… art history, cars, beer.  Books.  My dog.

So I started thinking about another blog, something a bit more personal and expansive.  It’s basically just an excuse for me to share my ramblings.  I tend to go on a bit about things (sorry, in advance).

If you’re curious to know more about me: I am a study in hyphens: a twenty-something British-American somewhat-non-traditional college student with a hyphenated last name.  I live in the USA and am married with one child, one dog, many cats.  I drive a VW Rabbit (AKA a Golf Mk5), which means that I am both sensible and utterly ridiculous.  My life goals include writing a textbook, living in the UK for at least ten years, and opening a dog rescue.  If all the coffee and beer in the world disappeared tomorrow, I would most likely die.  I think guinea pigs are hilarious creatures and never have any free time because I like to spend my free time learning about things, which keeps me quite busy.

If any of that sounded remotely interesting to you, congratulations.  You may want to come back and keep reading.

XOXO,

Tori
